May 4, 2025, it was the date that has been on the calendar for months. And per the Pennsylvania spring usual, you guessed it, rain. Rain. RAIN! I kept checking the weather “are we going to catch a break?” Sure enough, we didn’t this time. But that’s ok! Ally and John happily agreed to move their engagement session inside. And goodness. I am so glad we did because the precious photos of John and Ally’s engagement that we got- they were perfect!

We started John and Ally’s engagement session at the cute church in downtown Selinsgrove, that they would later get married in. The church was quiet. Calm. Meaningful. The atmosphere was filled with echos of anticipation of their future together. Soon. So soon, these two will embark on the journey of marriage together.

Ally wore an ivory, flowy, long, dress while John wore neutral tones to compliment his bride to be. Together, they looked perfect.

After we spent a little bit of time sitting on the beautiful wooden benches inside of the church, we made our way just a bit further downtown to my studio. At my studio, outfits were swapped out for a bit more of a casual look, laughter came a bit quicker, and the mood shifted from more serious to playful and fun. Ally and John’s chemistry lit up my lens, and it was a joy to be on the side of observing these two.

John and Ally are the kind of couple that make your cheeks hurt from smiling so much. They are SUPER sweet, they giggle a lot together, and are constantly picking on each other. Whether snuggled up on the studio floor for some cute photos, or goofing off between takes, they reminded me that the best photos don’t just capture how good people look- they capture how they love.

John and Ally, thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing your engagement session and wedding day. It is such a joy to get to know you both, and I feel so honored to witness this sweet relationship that the Lord has ordained.
