Eric and Katherine’s Wedding at Stone Ridge Acres

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, I had the honor of photographing Eric and Katherine’s wedding at Stone Ridge Acres, a breathtaking barn wedding venue nestled in the rolling hills of Juniata County, Pennsylvania. The moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a day filled with heartfelt moments, stunning details, and so much love.

Stone Ridge Acres is one of my favorite Central Pennsylvania wedding venues because it combines rustic charm with incredible mountain views. On this warm August afternoon, the golden summer light poured over the property. It simply created the most magical backdrop for Eric and Katherine’s celebration.

Getting Ready Moments

Katherine got ready in the beautiful bridal suite on-site surrounded by her mom, aunt, and grandma. The soft neutral tones of the space paired perfectly with her elegant lace gown. Every detail—from her bouquet to her sparkling hairpiece—was picture-perfect. Meanwhile, Eric waited and prepared in anticipation of the big moment he would have his first look with Katherine.

A Scenic Outdoor Ceremony

After a private and emotional first look shared by the couple, it was time for the ceremony. The couple exchanged vows under a rustic wooden arch adorned with white drapery and greenery. Behind them, the rolling hills of Juniata County stretched for miles. It made it feel like they were standing in a private slice of Pennsylvania paradise. Guests smiled, laughed, and teared up as Eric and Katherine promised forever to each other.

One of the highlights of photographing at Stone Ridge Acres is the way the sun sets over the fields. As the evening light softened, we snuck away for golden hour portraits. Time Spent With Friends and Family

The reception inside the barn was filled with twinkle lights, rustic wood beams, and the joyful energy of family and friends celebrating together. The couple shared their first dance outside of the venue but opened the doors so their guests could also witness this moment. The evening was a true celebration of love and joy followed by a special ice cream bar for dessert. With custom made ice cream scoopers engraved with the newlyweds last name, all of the guests were able to enjoy this sweet treat on a warm summer evening.
