The wedding was held under the same tree that Sam proposed at, and on Saturday June 24, 2023, we got to sit under that same tree as Sam and Erica pledged their love to each other on their very special day. What was supposed to be a very wet day turned into a beautiful sun filled day on the farm. Though a few storms rolled into the area, none of them actually touched down on the farm.

Sam and Erica’s wedding day was full of smiles, laughter, and sweet, intimate, moments.

Both Sam and Erica have a love for agriculture and farming and that showed throughout their beautiful day that they celebrated on their family farm. From the placement of tractors to the wagon ride for bridal party photos, to the tables labeled with tractors, to the excavators that were raised in the sky to create a huge arch to stand under; all of their details were centered around life on the farm, and the importance and impact it has made on their lives. I may be slightly biased, but I would agree, life on a farm shapes a person in ways that can only be understood if you experience it.

It’s evident that Sam and Erica have hearts of gold, respect for their elders, incredible work ethic, and sweet, and gentle spirits.

Sam could be found sounding strangely like Randy Travis as he serenaded his bride with the song, Deeper than the Holler. And Erica, she could be found wiping her eyes throughout the day at Sam’s special touches to their sweet day.

I’m positive the laughter could be heard at the next farm over after hearing the toasts from Levi, Haley, and the parents. I know I was BENT OVER laughing numerous times throughout the day and certainly during those speeches!

One has NEVER seen a sparkler sendoff quite as large as theirs was! As they were cheered on by family and friends, the newlyweds made their way through the huge tunnel. One thing was clear; as Erica and Sam slowly walked through, they were soaking in the moments where they could look around and see everyone who was there to love and support them as they embark on their new journey as the Ferster’s!

Sam and Erica; thank you! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your very special day. It was such an honor and I pray for many years of an incredible, God honoring, healthy marriage between you two!
