Kyle and Kate’s wedding was held at Stone Valley Estates on Saturday October 5, 2024 surrounded by their closest friends and family. After weeks of rain in central PA, we were all sooo thankful that the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this wonderful fall wedding.
When I did Kate and Kyle’s engagement session last year, I instantly knew their wedding was going to be so super sweet and fun. It was evident that both Kyle and Kate were selfless people and while their day would be about them, they cared so deeply about everyone else around them. I watched their selflessness play out numerous times throughout their day. But one specific time that stood out to me, was when they were so intentional about making sure that I was taken care of with food and drinks. It was the extra moments that THEY took to check in on their guests that reminded me just how incredible these two were.
Kyle and Kate shared in a first look. But, before their first look, Kyle’s brother-in-law pranked him by putting on HIS wife’s wedding dress and pretended to be Kate for the first look. We all stood by watching this occasion, and were belly laughing as it took place. And not once, but TWICE Kyle was pranked on his wedding day with this trick. After MANY laughs the first time it happened, Kate’s dad thought it would be hilarious if his son did it just one more time. We. Were. HOWLING! Poor Kyle. He was SUCH a champ. After the first prank, he said while laughing, “okay, no more pranks, right???” I responded with “no promises.” But that was BEFORE I knew there was about to be a second round of a man dressed in a woman’s wedding dress for a prank first look!
After the pranks, the bride and groom truly did share in a sweet first look. The sigh of relief that came across Kyle’s face when he finally turned around to see his bride-to-be was slightly comical and very endearing.
The two shared public vows in front of their friends and family, and then they celebrated by dancing with their loved ones for the rest of the evening.
Wait a second. Let’s just talk about the dinner that took place. The DeGennaro’s hired cooks who made pasta FROM SCRATCH and cooked everything right in front of us! It was hard to wait patiently for dinner as it smelled amazing! But the smell didn’t even compare to the taste we would all get to experience that evening. SO. YUMMY!
Every part of the DeGennaro’s wedding was well thought out, and perfect. Kyle and Kate, it was truly an honor to be a part of your special day! Congrats to you both, and I pray you have the sweetest marriage and live’s together!
