Colby and Amanda’s Wedding

Colby and Amanda’s Wedding was held at Birch Hill Events on Saturday September 7, 2024 just before sunset surrounded by their closest friends and family.

When my little brother started dating Amanda, we knew from the very first time we met her, we wanted Amanda in our family, forever. Every time Amanda came around our family, she was such a light, and all smiles. But it wasn’t just Amanda who smiled a lot, I noticed genuine smiles from Colby too. She made Colby so happy and it was evident that they both loved each other, deeply.

Colby and Amanda’s relationship has brought out the absolute best in both of them. Their relationship has been one of many laughs and learning and growing together. It’s easy to see that both Amanda and Colby are better, together.

When I got to their wedding location, there were a few things that stuck out to me. Amanda was so calm, joyful, and enjoying the day with her favorite girls. Giggles, smiles, snacks, and yummy drinks. Meanwhile, Colby was sprinting down the sidewalk racing his groomsmen. Yes. Truly. That’s what I witnessed when I arrived. And all I could think was, “this accident prone brother of mine, better not break a hip today!” Thankfully, no hips were broken and no injuries were notable. After the race, I asked Colby how he was feeling and he said “I’m VERY ready to see and marry Amanda!”

We took Amanda and Colby behind the venue, to the tree-line, to share a few intimate moments where they would see each other for the very first time that day. It was the highly anticipated first look, and with tears in their eyes, they embraced in a hug and held on to each other tight. *cue the tears from the sisters/photographers*

Much like the morning, the rest of the day went perfectly and beautifully. Amanda and Colby exchanged vows in front of their wedding guests, there was a prayer from the parents during the ceremony, and then the tying of the three strands. The Kreiders were later pronounced husband and wife and then exited their ceremony just before the sun set in the sky.

Perfect decorations, music from their DJ, and yummy food filled their reception space shortly after their ceremony. After speeches that left most of us in tears, and the hilarious “shoe game,” the happy couple celebrated by dancing with their guests on the dance floor before ending their evening with a sparkler send off.

Colby and Amanda, thank you for the honor of capturing your wedding day. It was such a joy to be near you for one of the most important days of your lives. It has been a joy to watch your relationship grow. I trust that you will continue to put the Lord first in your lives, and serve each other selflessly for the years to come.
