Joe and Jess’s wedding was held on Sunday October 8, 2023, on a MUCH cooler day than any of us expected!

Pennsylvania falls are wild. There’s a joke that has a LOT of truth to it. Welcome to 4 seasons in 1 day. October can be SO unpredictable in central PA. But nothing stopped Jess and Joe from having a perfect fall wedding at The Willow Stone Farm.

Jess; calm and light-hearted. Though the chaos of a wedding morning can be tricky to navigate and remain calm through, Jess did just that. There was never a single moment of her day that she looked stressed or overwhelmed.

And then there was Joe. Smiles. I don’t think there was a moment during his special day that he wasn’t grinning or smiling. After all, he was marrying the love of his life and ready to call her his; forever.

One of my favorite things about Jess is her uniqueness. While being an intentional bride who cared about the details of her wedding, it was also important to her that her wedding stood apart from other brides. Jess CRUSHED that with her special touches like her bridesmaids’ socks, her girls matching sweatshirts, and the induvial, customized, bag for each and every guest in attendance. The time and love that she poured into each guest favor makes me tried just thinking about it!

But that’s Joe and Jess. Kind. Loving. Giving. Caring. Selfless. Joyful. Those themes echoed through their day.

And finally, after Joe and Jess shared in a lovely wedding day, they ended their day with their DJ, Wanda asking the guests to surround them for a time of prayer over their marriage.

Talk about powerful.

As the guests came to the dance floor, they circled around Jess and Joe, and prayed for each of them, and for their marriage.

Chills..

I’m thankful for people like Wanda and so many other friends and family of Joe and Jess. For the time they took out of their evening to pray for them, and to ask The Lord to go before them, and to help them, keep Christ first in their marriage.

And that’s how marriage should be.

Joe and Jess, keep Christ first and center in your marriage. Be selfless and serve the other first in all things. And you will have many years of a wonderful marriage. Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Kahl!
